Do you know what a tube and tube heat exchanger is?
Tube and tube heat exchangers are currently widely used in chemical and alcohol production. It is mainly composed of shell, tube plate, heat exchange tube, head, baffle, etc. The required materials can be made of ordinary carbon steel, copper, or stainless steel. When exchanging heat, one fluid enters from the connecting tube of the head, flows in the tube, and flows out from the outlet pipe at the other end of the head, which is called the tube side; the other fluid enters from the nozzle of the shell and flows out from the other nozzle on the shell. This is called the shell-side tube heat exchanger. The following editor will introduce in detail the structural characteristics and temperature difference compensation device of the following tube heat exchangers.
The structure of this heat exchange equipment is relatively simple, compact and cheap, but the outside of the tube cannot be cleaned mechanically. The tube bundles of this type of heat exchanger are connected to the tube sheets, which are welded to both ends of the shell and connected to a top cover. The top cover and the shell are equipped with fluid inlet and outlet pipes. A series of baffles are usually installed outside the tubes perpendicular to the tube bundle. At the same time, the connection between the tube and the tube sheet and the shell are rigid, and there are two fluids with different temperatures inside and outside the tube. Therefore, when the temperature difference between the tube wall and the shell wall is large, due to the different thermal expansion of the two, a large temperature difference stress is generated, which may cause the tube to twist or loosen from the tube plate, seriously damaging the heat exchanger.
Tube and tube heat exchangerOnce scaling occurs, it will affect our heat transfer effect, so the economic losses in our production will also be huge. Let’s take a look at what causes scaling in our tube and tube heat exchangers. Our heat exchangers are all heat exchange systems with water level heat carriers, which are prone to scale. To avoid scaling, we can add polyphosphate buffer to the cooling water. once waterPHIf the value is relatively high, scale can be precipitated. Generally speaking, scale is easy to remove in the early stage and becomes stronger in the later stage.
The scaling of tube heat exchangers generally includes devitrification-like scaling, particle scaling, chemical reaction scaling, biological scaling, condensation scaling, etc. Generally we will use mechanical cleaning, chemical cleaning, etc. After the tube heat exchanger is scaled, it depends on the cause of the scale. Specifically, we'll address scaling.
