When there is a phase change in the medium on one side, the difference in heat transfer coefficient will be larger.
For example, in order to better realize the exchange of hot and cold air, when the hot air decreases below the dew point, it is recommended to use a stainless steel tube heat exchanger. In the case of heat exchange between air and air without phase change, or heat exchange between water and water, bare tubes are usually more suitable. Of course, low-finned tubes can also be used, because the heat transfer coefficient is weak at this time, and strengthening any one side has a specific effect. However, the effect of excessive finning ratio is not significant. It is better to strengthen the contact area between the inside and outside of the tube at the same time. Threaded tubes or fluted tubes can be used for the equipment.
Factors such as dust accumulation and cleaning should be taken into consideration when designing the spacing between devices, and should also strictly meet the pressure drop and other requirements of the equipment.
