How to Check Stainless Steel Tanks Regularly

       Stainless steel tank inspection is divided into external inspection, internal inspection and comprehensive inspection. Periodic inspections of stainless steel storage tanks need to be determined based on the technical usage conditions of the storage tank. Generally speaking, external inspections are performed at least once a year, and internal inspections are performed every3At least once a year, conduct a comprehensive inspection of each6At least once a year. If the service life of the stainless steel storage tank reaches15If the service life is more than 2 years, an internal and external inspection is required every two years.20year, an internal and external inspection shall be conducted at least once a year.
       Before inspection, stainless steel storage tanks need to:
       1. Check the last inspection data to understand the defects, problems and solutions that occurred during the previous inspection;
       2. Clean the materials inside the storage tank, separate it from other equipment and clearly mark it;
       3, replace and clean the residual gas in the storage tank, and analyze it to meet safety standards;
       4, Open all access holes, remove internal parts, and remove dirt on the inner wall;
       5, cut off the power supply of the storage tank, and when doing internal inspection of the storage tank, the voltage should not exceed12vor24vlow-voltage explosion-proof lamps, and there must be dedicated supervision outside the tank. The voltage of inspection instruments and tools does not exceed36v, and use good insulated soft wires and reliable grounding wires;
       6. If fire operations are involved, the fire approval procedures must be completed in accordance with regulations, and the tank area must be equipped with fire protection, safety and rescue facilities.
       1. Internal inspection
       1. Whether there is corrosive wear on the inner surface and manhole nozzle storage tank, and whether there are cracks in the welds, head transition areas or other places where stress is concentrated;
       2. When there is corrosion on the inner and outer surfaces of the tank, multiple wall thickness measurements should be made at the suspected locations. If the measured wall thickness is less than the designminWhen the wall thickness is increased, the strength should be re-evaluated and suggestions should be made on whether it can continue to be used and with high working pressure;
       3. When there are defects such as decarburization, stress corrosion, intergranular corrosion and fatigue cracks on the inner wall of the tank, metallographic inspection and surface hardness measurement should be carried out, and an inspection report should be submitted.
       2. External inspection
       1. Check whether the anti-corrosion layer, insulation layer and equipment nameplate of the storage tank are intact, and whether the safety accessories and control devices are complete, sensitive and reliable;
       2, Whether there are cracks, deformations, local overheating, etc. on the outer surface;
       3, whether there are any leaks in the nozzle welds and pressure components, whether the fastening bolts are intact, and whether there are any abnormalities such as sinking or tilting of the foundation.
       3. Comprehensive inspection
       1. Conduct non-destructive inspection of the main welds or shells, and the random inspection length is the total length of the welds.20%;
       2, after passing the internal and external inspection, according to the design pressure of the storage tank1.25Carry out hydraulic pressure test and air tightness test according to the design pressure of the storage tank. During the above inspection process, if there is no leakage of the storage tank and the welds of various parts, and there is no visible abnormal deformation of the storage tank, it is qualified;
       After the inspection of the stainless steel storage tank is completed, a report must be made on the inspection of the storage tank, indicating the problems and reasons that can continue to be used or can continue to be used but need to be repaired and cannot be used. The inspection report must be kept on file for future maintenance and reference.
       Stainless steel storage tanks are storage equipment widely used in pharmaceuticals, dairy products, food, industry, and chemicals because of their strong corrosion resistance.
