Core structure analysis of tube and tube heat exchanger
The tube and tube heat exchanger achieves efficient heat exchange through precise core structure design. Its core components include shell, tube bundle, tube plate, baffle and head. Each component works together to ensure stable fluid flow and efficient heat transfer.
1, shell and tube bundle:
The shell is a pressure-bearing container that accommodates the shell-side fluid; the tube bundle is composed of multiple heat exchange tubes, and the tube-side fluid flows within the tubes. The two are connected through a tube sheet to form a separate flow channel to avoid fluid mixing.
2, tube sheet:
As a key pressure-bearing component, the tubesheet needs to bear both the tube and shell side pressures. Its design needs to ensure the sealing between the heat exchange tube and the shell. Commonly used materials include carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium alloy to adapt to the needs of different working conditions.
3, Baffle:
Fixed in the shell, by changing the flow direction of the shell-side fluid, the fluid is forced to flush the tube bundle laterally, destroying the boundary layer, and greatly improving the heat transfer efficiency. The spacing and shape of the baffles (such as round-shaped, disc-shaped) need to be optimized and designed based on the fluid characteristics.
4, Header and interface:
The heads are used to close both ends of the pipe and are equipped with fluid inlets and outlets; the interface design must comply with fluid dynamics to reduce flow resistance.
Tube and tube heat exchangerEfficient and stable operation is achieved through a standardized structure. Its modular design facilitates maintenance and expansion. It is widely used in chemical industry, energy, food and other fields, and is the core equipment of industrial heat exchange.
